January 2025 Reflections & Ripples

Welcome to the very first DHM Reflections & Ripples 'blogpost'

I will be your host, Sharon Jennings, and it is my absolute joy to serve our Lord alongside you.

The thinking behind this blog came after a very fruitful, very fun and very blessed time with myself, Fergus and our treasurer George. I was asked to create something 'fun' to let our community know what happens 'behind the scenes' on a monthly basis (because there is ALOT and nobody wants to just read announcements!)

So here it is .. let me know if you love it or loathe it because it's my first blog and I'm still learning!

January was BUSY, but fruitful .. below are some team highlights (the reflections)

We shared a powerful video testimony of healing from Joe Donaldson which our very talented Peter Kirch put together on Cavehill.

If you haven't watched this yet you can catch up here.

As a team we decided to freshen up our look, none of us are getting any younger, jokes, jokes!
We decided that DHM needed a little 'new year, new me' vibe. We changed some colours, some fonts, and added a little promotional material. But our hearts, and the heart of DHM remained the same. We want, through prayer, laying on of hands, and anointing with oil, to bring people in need of wholeness to the healing love of Jesus Christ.
What Br. David Jardine & Sr. Margaret McStay started back in 1993 remains true -
Jesus Christ meeting you at your point of need.

To see our new branding and our fresh new look follow the link below.

We were blessed with some fantastic speakers this month, David Hamilton, Stephen Rogers, Sam Neill & our very own Br. David who led the first Holy Communion of 2025.
Our Larne team also had a very enjoyable day of prophetic training with Michael & Hazel Gerner. Worship was provided at our services by our faithful brother, Allan Bruce, and also the wonderful duo that is Paul & Beulah Shields.
Our Monday night live prayer community is going from strength to strength, we have people from across the world joining us. Fergus, Pat & Valerie are WARRIORS, what they do on a Monday night is powerful, if you haven't joined yet, why not? You'll be so blessed. The Holy Spirit always shows up!
We are thankful to these guys for all they do in DHM.

You can catch up on all our January Services on our YouTube channel & we love when you share the videos with friends. Please let us know if you are able to encourage someone else using these videos, it's always encouraging for us (especially Peter - he loves the stats!)

I started a TikTok account (much to my teenage daughter's amusement).
I have been sharing biblical truths like the one above and apparently people like them!
Feel free to send me your favourite scriptures or verses and I will add them.

Housekeeping

At DHM housekeeping is so important to us. We want to be able to serve you to the best of our ability with the gifts the Lord has entrusted to us. Well, that involves admin (one of my passions, give me a list and a spreadsheet & I will be as happy as a pig in a poke) so what you don't see happen is that this month alone we have had multiple meetings, various training, guidance, team prayer, GDPR forms, Access NI forms, resource development to name but a few. Our team work so hard to make sure that Jesus is honoured in all we do, so that you guys who come along each week have a safe space to be.
Our prayer is for everyone to meet with Jesus.
And for every knee to bow (which will happen - it says so in the Bible, go check).

I'll tell you a secret.

I'm not good at praying. Ok, that's not strictly true, because it is talking to our Abba Father and we all know I can talk. But I believed for such a long time that I was rubbish at praying, yet here I am now, praying for (and I use this term loosely) a 'job'.
God is Good. AMEN

This month alone we have had 100's of prayer requests, many, many phone calls, people have went for personal prayer at our services (myself included, big shout out to Jackie & David), we had prayer at St Patricks, St Finnians, Shankill Methodist & Hope Chapel Lane.
We had the privilege to pray for Jonny & Melissa as they prepare for their upcoming wedding!
Peter & Heather were blessed by a very beautiful family in Limavady and enjoyed a wonderful time of prayer with them.

Matthew 7:24-29

“Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won't collapse because it is built on bedrock."

Did we all survive the storm?

Prayer points & Testimonies

I love how God answers prayers. I have been gathering up testimonies this month and it is just so encouraging, it's also lovely to get to know you all, so thank you to everyone who has shared.
I know many more of you have testimonies to share so feel free to speak to me at a service or call the office. I am also on email sharon@divinehealingministries.org

Joy shared this wonderful testimony

DHM has been brilliant. My sister in law Gail was diagnosed with leukaemia 28 years ago and was extremely ill.
I contacted Bro Jardine, who kindly visited her in RVH and prayed with her.
She is still with us today. Praise the Lord for answering prayers. She required a bone marrow transplant to live, and given that there are only her and my husband John in the family, she hadn’t many options. Wait for it….John’s bone marrow result came back as a Perfect match, that  Gail and John should be identical twins (they are neither identical nor twins). The transplant was a great success.
We are forever thankful to God and to Bro Jardine for visiting Gail and for hands on healing prayers.

Since then I have requested prayers for many family, friends, colleagues and people I don’t even know and the healing and support has been overwhelming.
I give Thanks to God and to all at DHM.
I love the online prayer time on Monday evenings with Fergus, Valerie and Pat. The trio are great prayer warriors and very supportive and the prayers are so uplifting.
Norman who emails the prayer requests out to me is another great Christian warrior.
The whole team are amazing, a great group of Godly people.

February prayer points (the ripples)

Each month I will highlight a few prayer points that we are asking you (our beautiful community) to pray with us.
And also to share any encouragement or words you may receive.

Joshua (aged 5)
Please declare Psalm 116 & Psalm 30 over this gorgeous boy.

Peter & Sarah
February is going to look different for our Peter & Sarah as DHM has its first baby! Please keep our DHM family in prayer

Our prayer team and our volunteers
We would be useless without the team of people we have supporting us so can I ask that they be lifted up in prayer this month (actually all months but lets give them the extra focus in February).

Philippians 2:10

'that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

See didn't I tell you?

Amen.

February 2025 Reflections & Ripples

Welcome to the second DHM Reflections & Ripples 'blogpost'  We had such wonderful feedback from last month’s blog, so the pressure is on to keep the standard high. The first point of business has to be the birth of Peter & Sarah’s baby ….. …..drumroll please ….    ITS A GIRL !!     As you may or may not know our Peter and his wife Sarah had a beautiful baby girl mid-February and they have named her Rose. I have no doubt they will share more of their exciting news in their own time but for now let’s thank God for this precious gift. ‘For every good and perfect thing is from above’ James 1:17    February was exactly how God planned it. It has gone by in the blink of an eye and as always (I am discovering this more and more in DHM) the list keeps growing because the Kingdom of God has no end.     So now that February is done & we are about to ‘Spring’ into March, I for one am ready to see the back end of the cold weather. That...

April 2025 Reflections and Ripples

Welcome to the DHM Reflections & Ripples  Blog #4   HE IS RISEN  Did everyone have a good Easter? It’s one of my favourite times of the year. I would take it over Christmas every time (I LOVE Christmas but there is less pressure at Easter).  Jacob and I went to the cinema and watched King of Kings – if you haven’t seen it, I recommend it, even without the kids – it is a wonderful version of the bible told to a young boy by his father (Charles Dickens). Not only is it accurate, but it also brings the bible to life for little ones. My favourite moment was when they depicted The Last Supper & Jesus said ‘Truly, I say to you, one of you will betray me’ Matthew 21-23,25 and my Jacob turned and whispered ‘its Judas’ with a knowing smile. Proud Mum moment!   More on April ….. We had a 2 week break from the office and while Fergus took some quiet time with God up the North Coast, Peter spent quality time with his favourite ladies and I swanned around doin...
