Welcome to the DHM Reflections & Ripples
Blog #4
HE IS RISEN
Did everyone have a good Easter? It’s one of my favourite times of the year. I would take it over Christmas every time (I LOVE Christmas but there is less pressure at Easter).
Jacob and I went to the cinema and watched King of Kings – if you haven’t seen it, I recommend it, even without the kids – it is a wonderful version of the bible told to a young boy by his father (Charles Dickens). Not only is it accurate, but it also brings the bible to life for little ones. My favourite moment was when they depicted The Last Supper & Jesus said ‘Truly, I say to you, one of you will betray me’ Matthew 21-23,25 and my Jacob turned and whispered ‘its Judas’ with a knowing smile. Proud Mum moment!
More on April …..
We had a 2 week break from the office and while Fergus took some quiet time with God up the North Coast, Peter spent quality time with his favourite ladies and I swanned around doing a variety of things ….
**I gave blood
**I visited a friend & gave him a big fat scone with butter & jam.
**I witnessed a new friend come to faith & be baptised at Shaws Bridge.
**And I went to my friend Karen’s ‘not dead yet party’
Between all this I walked the dog, went to various parks with the child, took my eldest shopping, took my middle one to the gym & I feel like I was never out of Tesco!
Mark & I even managed to go to a worship night in Conway Mill.
That counts as a date night in my book.
Going Deeper with Matthew & Serah Rudolph
At the beginning of April we met at Holy Rosary Parish Centre on the Ormeau Road Belfast and what a day we had. Kes Evans brought anointed worship as the sun shone on our city that day. If you want to hear more of her music you can follow her on Spotify.
Matthew then spoke to the generations, and I can’t even tell you how sad I am for the people who couldn’t be there in person.
The video is available on YouTube, and I highly recommend listening. I was there but I have already listened to it again. Jahi also spoke on covenant and brought scripture that I have read before into a new light. Amazing to hear.
After spending a very blessed time with Matthew, his wife Serah, his sister Kes and his brother in love Jahi I can now fully appreciate why Fergus said they are amongst his favourite people.
Truly gorgeous bunch of God bringing, life giving people.
The gospel is reaching far & wide – it's been in space for almost a year now.
Butch Wilmore, an American astronaut, was stuck in space for nine months (he was only meant to be there for 8 days) and every week he joined his church in Pasadena, Texas for fellowship. This story drew massive media attention & each time he was interviewed he spoke of Gods goodness, he spoke of Gods plan for his life and how he stood on Gods word during his time in space.
His story is reaching hundreds of thousands of people
& impacting so many.
Fun fact
NASA are paying the astronauts overtime at a rate of 5 dollars a day !
Heres a random piece of information for you
Wild Garlic … you see it all over the ground in forests at the minute, well we could learn from the wild garlic
You see it has cleverly learnt that the best way to thrive is to bloom before the trees above and around it. The bulb sprouts and searches for light eagerly, so it reaches it’s full potential before the world starts to try and cover it with shade. It spreads easily, is recognised as a top pollinator and is difficult to stop once it takes root.
I want to be like the wild garlic, I want to keep eagerly seeking the light (Jesus is the light of the world).
I want to bloom before the world tries to crush me (In this world you will have trouble).
And I want to pollinate everyone around me with the good news of Jesus Christ (go and make disciples of all nations).
I want my roots to be so secure in His word that I am impossible to stop.
So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.
Colossians 2:6-7
Ok a little round up of what is next
Daughters of the King
Our next study is launching at the beginning of May (sign up by emailing sharon@divinehealingministries.org)
This is just one of the comments I had from a member of our community
Jackie & I will be doing the 8 mile walk alongside some others to raise funds for DHM, mostly we are doing it for the craic. We will pray as we walk, we will speak Jesus in the streets and who knows Jackie might even sing. If you want to sponsor us just click on the link below & remember to change the fee to OTHER and then ZERO so you don't increase your donation accidentally.

Reflections
We prayed for Laura to have her health restored after a nasty flu and that she would get the job she was interviewing for.
God is good. Laura is well & the job is hers!
Worthy is the lamb.
Ripples
Its a big month for students
God of wisdom guide them as they enter exams. God of peace keep them calm under the pressure. God of understanding help them to put this time of exams into perspective.
Amen.
Can we uplift our prisoners, pray for revival within the prison walls.
Can we banish anxiety across the land with authority.
Storm the gates of heaven and claim Jesus' healing for the people in your life.
I am going on holiday soon with my wife, and apparently we have a daughter who is coming too. I am of an age now that I forgot things (as if!).
