September 2025 Reflections & Ripples Divine Healing Ministries blog

Welcome to the DHM Reflections & Ripples 'blogpost'

Summer is behind us and autumn has landed. I don't know about you but the heating has been on and the fire has been lit. Winter coats, scarves and gloves have been retrieved from the loft.

I said goodbye to the summer while in Majorca with my eldest daughter as we took a 5 day trip before she started university. Absolute bliss. We ate a lot of food, read a lot of books and bathed under a lot of sun!

Hard to believe my little 4lb 4oz baby is now at uni!

‘Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward’ Psalm 127:3

Are we ready to talk about Christmas?

As the years go on I am more excited by Christmas, when the kids were little it just meant extra, extra everything and I can't cope with all the 'stuff' I don't think I would be alone to say sometimes the pressure of Christmas can ruin Christmas.

But now I embrace it! I have put some things in place to ensure that my family Christmas isn't 'extra' and we just enjoy the slower pace of sometime at home. I prioritised where we spent our time and how we spent our money, for me personally I would love to be away over the festive period but none of the kids are onboard with that idea (yet)!

If you want to get a head start though ... we have designed a range of Christmas essentials that are available to purchase now. You can do this via the website or at our services.

September saw us have a few guests speakers, all of whom spoke so well, we are very blessed by our community. Brother David Jardine led Holy Communion, Allan Bruce spoke on renewing your mind, Judith Doherty shared on Healing your spirit. We also had Jason McClelland share in Drumalis and Patrick de Jong came from Holland to share at St Patrick's.

All our services can be caught again via our YouTube channel - please do like subscribe & share. Peter LOVES to see the stats go up and we all are so encouraged when the word of God is shared this way.

This month for me ....

I am always amazed at how much can be fitted into 4 short weeks!

But here are a few key moments for me personally ....

First ever Daughters of the King event

If you didn't make it you can click the link above to catch up on YouTube.

I attended my first Maranatha event which was such a blessing, a powerful time was had. Worship was led by Allan Bruce and he was ANOINTED that day (and everyday). We had a time of prayer that was peaceful, poignant and praiseworthy!

We also got to pray for a couple who got married in the chapel that day.
God is good.

I had a gorgeous breakfast in Bolt at Boucher Road and God just put it on my heart to chat with the owner. Turned out the spirit in me recognised the spirit in her and we are going to get coffee and chat all things Jesus soon. Always be alert to who God is putting in your path. Divine appointments.

I got to go to Zealous Worship night at Dock Cafe and praise the Lord. If you know a venue that Zealous could use, or you want to learn more about them drop me a little message.

DHM hosted the Hope and Healing breakfast morning at the T3 conference centre at VicRyn.

The food amazing. The turn out was amazing. The weather was amazing. The facilities were amazing.

BUT ....

For me the most amazing part (except that God was on the move) was that the facilities are owned by my old bosses and are located beside the place I worked for 16 years. Long before I even knew DHM existed God was weaving His plan. You see the lady who ran my old place of work prayed every day for every girl that worked there. And now she can see how her years of prayer paid off.

I LOVE that I get to thank people who prayed for me even when I had no notion about Jesus.

If you want to learn more about what the Hope & Healing breakfast morning was about drop us an email at the office and we will get in touch with you.

Saying goodbye ...

I know I am not alone when I say I lost someone dear to me recently. Grief comes to us all.

A friend went home to be with Jesus last week, and as much as I prayed big prayers for a miracle I didn't see her healed here on earth. Over the last few weeks I had been praying that she would make her peace with God and with her circumstances. I believe that happened. I believe she is seated in heavenly places. And I believe she is now fully healed and fully restored.

I'll still miss her though.

Who loves a good movie?

I have spent more time that I care to remember scrolling through Netflix or Amazon Prime for the perfect show only to realise by the time I find something that I don't really have enough time to watch it all. It is so frustrating. We need less choice.

I did however watch a movie this month that was easy viewing, nothing too mind-blowing just a good old fashioned simple love story. And it was based on the book of Ruth.

Speaking of movies ...... the next Daughters event will be a movie showing!

Keep an eye on socials for this being announced as it will be ticketed due to limited seats

Let me know if you fancy joining the Daughters team.

The month ahead ....

A sneak peep of a little something I have been working on with Brother David. We are nearly ready to release and you will want to get your hands on this. It is so special.

At the end of October you will have the pleasure of hearing me talk at St Patricks again. It will be a special night, marking a special occasion. I will drop you a little clue below.

There might be cake ....

Watch this short video to show you what is coming up in October at Divine Healing Ministries

Prayer points & Testimonies

We offer personal prayer via zoom and it’s been such a blessing but we really would love more people to join the team for this. If you think you could spare an hour a month for this let me know by emailing sharon@divinehealingministries.org and don’t forget to send me any testimonies too.

Peter and David shared this amazing testimony from St Stephens

A lady who had suffered from Tinnitus for 15 years received prayer after Sarah received a word of knowledge and her hearing has been restored! She now has to ask people to speaker at a lower volume because she can hear so well.

Prayer points

This month I am inclined to pray that we all hear from God in a fresh way. September can be like a reset can't it? We are all back in the swing of things after the summer and now is the time to slow down and listen. Everyone does this differently. I am a huge fan of worship music to slow down and be with God but I am trying to learn the act of silence.

Heavenly Father, I come before you today, seeking a deeper, more intimate connection with You. I long to hear Your voice with clarity and understanding, and I ask that You reveal Yourself to me in a fresh way.
Remove any distractions, noise, or preconceived notions that block me from hearing You. Open my eyes to see the world through Your eyes, and my ears to discern Your voice amongst the voices in the world.
Fill me with Your Holy Spirit, that Your wisdom may guide my thoughts and Your presence may direct my steps. Help me to be still and know that You are God, and to recognise Your voice.
Strengthen my faith and give me the courage to trust and obey whatever You show me.
In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen

As always, I will end with a scripture that has meant something to me this month.

Psalms 43:4

Then I will go to the altar of God, to God, my joy and my delight.

I will praise you with the lyre, O God, my God”

Amen.

January 2025 Reflections & Ripples

Welcome to the very first DHM Reflections & Ripples 'blogpost'  I will be your host, Sharon Jennings , and it is my absolute joy to serve our Lord alongside you. The thinking behind this blog came after a very fruitful, very fun and very blessed time with myself, Fergus and our treasurer George. I was asked to create something 'fun' to let our community know what happens 'behind the scenes' on a monthly basis (because there is ALOT and nobody wants to just read announcements!)  So here it is .. let me know if you love it or loathe it because it's my first blog and I'm still learning! January was BUSY, but fruitful .. below are some team highlights (the reflections) We shared a powerful video testimony of healing from Joe Donaldson which our very talented Peter Kirch put together on Cavehill.  If you haven't watched this yet you can catch up here. As a team we decided to freshen up our look, none of us are getting any younger,  jokes, jokes!...

February 2025 Reflections & Ripples

Welcome to the second DHM Reflections & Ripples 'blogpost'  We had such wonderful feedback from last month’s blog, so the pressure is on to keep the standard high. The first point of business has to be the birth of Peter & Sarah’s baby ….. …..drumroll please ….    ITS A GIRL !!     As you may or may not know our Peter and his wife Sarah had a beautiful baby girl mid-February and they have named her Rose. I have no doubt they will share more of their exciting news in their own time but for now let’s thank God for this precious gift. ‘For every good and perfect thing is from above’ James 1:17    February was exactly how God planned it. It has gone by in the blink of an eye and as always (I am discovering this more and more in DHM) the list keeps growing because the Kingdom of God has no end.     So now that February is done & we are about to ‘Spring’ into March, I for one am ready to see the back end of the cold weather. That...

April 2025 Reflections and Ripples

Welcome to the DHM Reflections & Ripples  Blog #4   HE IS RISEN  Did everyone have a good Easter? It’s one of my favourite times of the year. I would take it over Christmas every time (I LOVE Christmas but there is less pressure at Easter).  Jacob and I went to the cinema and watched King of Kings – if you haven’t seen it, I recommend it, even without the kids – it is a wonderful version of the bible told to a young boy by his father (Charles Dickens). Not only is it accurate, but it also brings the bible to life for little ones. My favourite moment was when they depicted The Last Supper & Jesus said ‘Truly, I say to you, one of you will betray me’ Matthew 21-23,25 and my Jacob turned and whispered ‘its Judas’ with a knowing smile. Proud Mum moment!   More on April ….. We had a 2 week break from the office and while Fergus took some quiet time with God up the North Coast, Peter spent quality time with his favourite ladies and I swanned around doin...
