October 2025 Reflections & Ripples Divine Healing Ministries Blog

Welcome to the DHM Reflections & Ripples 'blogpost'

Hello WINTER!

I cannot believe how much we have packed into this month of October.

Join me as we recap this busy time.

Brother Davids book is FINALLY available. As a team at DHM we have been buzzing about this book. A project that started in July, gained momentum in September and with the gracious help of Victoria Woodside who did the final edit check for us we got it to the publishers for October!

There is gold in this book. Even baby Rose approves.

We have it available on the website, at our services and it will be available to purchase from The Book Well on the Belmont Road in East Belfast.

Our 'official' launch will be led by Brother David himself at St Annes Cathedral on December 1st at 7:30pm and you would be so welcome to join us.

Drop me an email at the office to secure your free tickets.

WHO'S BEEN TALKING?

We are always so grateful that our community come and share Gods word with us at our various locations. We had our very own Peter Kirch lead in St Patricks and in St Stephens. Dr Stephen Rogers brought a powerful word followed by Brian Hilton sharing on 'Job' finishing up with a lighthearted evening lead by myself to celebrate my 365 days at DHM.

This month for the team ...

Our secretary Bob Load has been MIA due to ill health and we keep both him and his wife Sally in prayer, this has meant a few less meetings than normal with the full team but Fergus Peter and myself meet every Monday and we call our meetings 'Monday Manna'

It's a beautiful time that we dedicate to God and allow Him to chair the meeting. We keep coming back to a common theme of 'complete surrender'. We also are excited to launch new 'GOD ideas' because we don't want GOOD ideas, we want GOD ideas.

During our meeting this month little Rose came along and she was loving reading the minutes from previous meetings and hearing what we chat about.

We attended THE CHURCHES’ COUNCIL FOR HEALTH AND HEALING IN IRELAND 60th anniversary where various leaders spoke into “DEVELOPING A HEALING MINISTRY IN THE LOCAL CHURCH”. We heard from Pat Mollan, Fergus McMorrow and Peter Hilton amongst others. Jenny and I decided that we need another book called 'Conversations with Pat and Brother David' !

New worship leaders!

We are so blessed to have Allan Bruce and Paul & Beulah Shields faithfully lead us in worship along with our multitalented director who has been known to hold a tune and pick up the guitar from time to time

BUT ....

We felt God say time to add a few more ... so we put out a call and of course because it was a GOD idea we had people come forward.

Firstly we had Clara McGee who brought her husband Kevin along and this young couple OOZE Jesus.

Born and raised in Portadown. Clara studied Fine & Applied Art at Ulster University, Belfast. Clara is married to Kevin and has two teenage children Ella & Jonah.
Clara attends Emmanuel Church, Portadown. She has led worship for over 20 years. Her favourite worship song is ‘Good Good Father’ she loves how the song celebrates God's unwavering love and perfect fatherhood and how the song's core message is about the unconditional love and care of God, emphasising His goodness and the believer's identity as loved.

We are so blessed to have them join us, be sure to say hi when you meet them and make them feel welcome - they are family now.

And we also had Dani & Katie join us from CFC South at the end of the month.

Dani & Katie are part of the worship team at CFC South. Their heart is to see people encounter God through worship and t create space for His presence to move.

'We truly believe that worship goes beyond the songs—it’s about living a life that honours Jesus in everything we do. We’re so grateful for the opportunity to serve and watch God move in Divine Healing Ministries'
Again a big thank you to these girls for stepping forward and into this role.

What do you do when your Dad isn't around?

I found this guy on YouTube - don't ask me how as I have no idea how I find anything on YouTube!

This guy has been giving kids advice on certain life skills via YouTube for over 5 years now.
Things like 'How to tie a tie' or 'How to put up a tent', 'Essential car maintenance tips' and 'Understanding your why' basically he is there for kids who don't have a dad to ask these questions.

Which of course made me draw the obvious comparison. We have a Father who is willing and able to impart all kinds of wisdom on us if we ask. As amazing as this guy is we have a big God who is able to do so much more than guide us via YouTube, He gave us His word and He left us the Holy Spirit.
But absolute kudos to this guy. Fantastic idea.

For a little bit of fun this month I went to a Pilates class that a local lady leads but it is all set to worship music! What a time I had! It was so fun and so refreshing to be in a room full of like minded women who love to move but also love to hear praise music while doing it.

Watch this space .. we may have her as a guest sometime at a ladies event!

Prayer points & Testimonies

We offer personal prayer via zoom and it’s been such a blessing but we really would love more people to join the team for this. If you think you could spare an hour a month for this let me know by emailing sharon@divinehealingministries.org and don’t forget to send me any testimonies too.

Our school kids

Does anyone remember that we offered to pray for the kids starting school? Some joining P1, some starting high school, some off to uni and everyone in between.

Well we are hearing super praise reports from these kids. One 'kid' who was heading to university across the water has settled in 'like a duck to water' no anxiety, no stress, is making friends and their parents believe keeping up with all the work.

One lad starting high school again has taken it in his stride and is coping very well, despite an autism diagnosis that people believed may have held him back.

Prayer points

We seem to be having a lot of people who need prayer for soreness, just general aches and pains that slow us down and bring our moods down. Gods people are not designed to be achy, sore and slow. Let's be bold in our faith and pray for healing from these pains.

And babies.. there are babies that are sick and their parents are finding it tough.

Families - let's pray for reconciliation, forgiveness and open wounds to be healed shut. That the scars of the wounds would be resurrection scars.

Our God can.

I've been chewing on this for October.

James 5:13

Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise”

Amen.

January 2025 Reflections & Ripples

Welcome to the very first DHM Reflections & Ripples 'blogpost'  I will be your host, Sharon Jennings , and it is my absolute joy to serve our Lord alongside you. The thinking behind this blog came after a very fruitful, very fun and very blessed time with myself, Fergus and our treasurer George. I was asked to create something 'fun' to let our community know what happens 'behind the scenes' on a monthly basis (because there is ALOT and nobody wants to just read announcements!)  So here it is .. let me know if you love it or loathe it because it's my first blog and I'm still learning! January was BUSY, but fruitful .. below are some team highlights (the reflections) We shared a powerful video testimony of healing from Joe Donaldson which our very talented Peter Kirch put together on Cavehill.  If you haven't watched this yet you can catch up here. As a team we decided to freshen up our look, none of us are getting any younger,  jokes, jokes!...

February 2025 Reflections & Ripples

Welcome to the second DHM Reflections & Ripples 'blogpost'  We had such wonderful feedback from last month’s blog, so the pressure is on to keep the standard high. The first point of business has to be the birth of Peter & Sarah’s baby ….. …..drumroll please ….    ITS A GIRL !!     As you may or may not know our Peter and his wife Sarah had a beautiful baby girl mid-February and they have named her Rose. I have no doubt they will share more of their exciting news in their own time but for now let’s thank God for this precious gift. ‘For every good and perfect thing is from above’ James 1:17    February was exactly how God planned it. It has gone by in the blink of an eye and as always (I am discovering this more and more in DHM) the list keeps growing because the Kingdom of God has no end.     So now that February is done & we are about to ‘Spring’ into March, I for one am ready to see the back end of the cold weather. That...

April 2025 Reflections and Ripples

Welcome to the DHM Reflections & Ripples  Blog #4   HE IS RISEN  Did everyone have a good Easter? It’s one of my favourite times of the year. I would take it over Christmas every time (I LOVE Christmas but there is less pressure at Easter).  Jacob and I went to the cinema and watched King of Kings – if you haven’t seen it, I recommend it, even without the kids – it is a wonderful version of the bible told to a young boy by his father (Charles Dickens). Not only is it accurate, but it also brings the bible to life for little ones. My favourite moment was when they depicted The Last Supper & Jesus said ‘Truly, I say to you, one of you will betray me’ Matthew 21-23,25 and my Jacob turned and whispered ‘its Judas’ with a knowing smile. Proud Mum moment!   More on April ….. We had a 2 week break from the office and while Fergus took some quiet time with God up the North Coast, Peter spent quality time with his favourite ladies and I swanned around doin...
